On top of the Kia Race to the MVP ladder is Giannis Antetokounmpo and if you have seen him play lately you will get why. He is doing everything right and is also a very entertaining player to watch and he also the leader of the Points in the Paint stat which is normally reserved for centers like Anthony Davis or Andre Drummond – both of which the Greek Freek dominated recently. He continued this weekend with Jarrett Allen who was held to 8 points while Giannis got 31.

Add two blocks and three steals to that and it was a truly fantastic game. There are several candidates for MVP this year (did anyone say Harden?) and Giannis is definitely one of them. Week 2 – Jokic making a case

Another player who has been a positive surprise (or not ?) this year is Nikola Jokic. So far this season the 7 feet/250 lbs center is averaging 19+ points, 10+ rebounds and 7.5 assists per game while shooting 84% from the line. He is also growing quite a large fan base in Denver. and he recently recorded his 20:th triple double, being the third youngest player ever to reach that.
